The conduct of the house surgeon of the Hospital in trepanning Greer without consulting the other surgeons, has formed a subject of discussion by the Hospital Committee. Dr Gilbert, at a meeting, said the medical profession did not consider Greer’s ease one of emergency. The meeting consequently resolved to request Dr James to give ids reasons for considering the ease such.

A few of Greer’s friends have resolved to send the widow back to England by an early steamer. The Commissioners have finally resolved to open the Exhibition on the Ist of October, and have definitely fixed the 31st of August as the last day for receiving exhibits, unless under very exceptional circumstances.
