The proposal meets with general approval in sporting circles. August 26. Sir Hercules Robinson has accepted the invitation to the race meeting to be held here on September 16. In the Legislative Assembly, Mr Bray has tabled a motion of want of confidence in the Government on the Estimates. Sweet Consolation. Mauritius, August 12. The Admiral Ruyter is loading with 400 tons of sugar for New Zealand. Sugar operations have been hindered by bad weather.
