A French Military Commission has boon appointed to undertake the organisation of the Greek army, and its mem bars proceed shortly to Athens to commence their duties. Extinguishing the Plamos. Calcutta, J uly 22. News has been received from Cabul that an interview has been arranged be tween General Stewart and Abdul Rah man Khan, when the question of the hitters acceptance of the aniccrsbip of Afghanistan will he discussed. The work of demolishing the British forts at Cabul having commenced, the British troops have formed a camp near the city, where they will remain for the present. Important intelligence lias been received from Candahar relating to the movements of Ayouh Khan, who was recently reported to have arrived from Herat with a large force, with the intention of attacking Candahar and wresting it from Shere Ali, the newlyappointed ruler. It is now known that Ayouh is continuing his advance, and it is expected that he will shortly attack the British camp at Girishk, on the road to Candahar, whither the British troops were despatched to support Shore Ali. There is great cxciemcnt among the Candahar tribes owing to the continued advance of Ayouh Khan.
