PIGEON FLYING.
The result of the match between the five birds started from Timaru yesterday, particulars of which were reported in our last issue, was as follows : Mr Earnshaws’s tSavanaka, first, Mi. and sm. ; Mr Hick’s Stormbird, 2h. and 15m.; Mr Kicks’ Bow Bells. 2h. and dim. Mr Hall's Blue Gown, 2h. 11m Thirteen more pigeons were liberated this morning opposite the railway station for (ho Hast Christchurch Pigeon Chib. The birds were all started together at 10 a.m.. and quickly disappeared, taking a direction due north. Appended are (he names ot birds and and owners : .Mr E. K. I Vacon's Bky Pocket Mr K.
