SALE OF SPOUTS PRIVILEGES.
Messrs Jonas, Hart and Wildie disposed of the privileges in connection with the annual sports of the Timaru Athletic Club, to be held on the Queen’s Birthday, at their Rooms this afternoon. The following were the lots submitted, the prices realised, and the names of the purchasers :—Loti. Right to collect tolls at gates (admission one shilling), £33. Mr Thomas Richmond (Melville Hotel). Lot 2. Right to erect a general license booth (12 luncheons to be supplied gratis) £2O, Mr Thomas Richmond. Lot 3. Right to erect refreshment booth (no alcoholic liquors to bo supplied), £5, Mr Levien. Lot 4. Right to sell cards of sports, £3, Mr Mitchell. Lot 5. Right of running such games on the grounds as police may allow, 10s, Mr Levien. This concluded the sale.
