MAGISTERIAL.
TIMARU—THIS DAY. (Before W. C. Beswick Esq. J.P-) ASSAULT. William Henry, a resident of Wainiate charged with assaulting Joseph Sawyer and wilfully smashing a lamp globe, value 10s did not appear when called on. Inspector Pender said that Henry had been.bailed out last evening for £lO, and he believed Henry was wandering about on the “ spree.” He suggested that the case be adjourned. Mr Beswick remarked that Henry was liable to bo arrested on warrant, but ho should give him a chance to appear voluntarily. Case adjourned till tomorrow. LARCENY. Wm. Bradshsw charged with stealing a theodolite value £2O from the office of Mr Lewis was remanded till to-morrow. The Court then adjourned.
