The Eight Hon. J. G. Dodson Jins been appointed President of the Local Government Board, with a scat in the Cabinet ; Sir H. K, Chamberlain, President of the Board of Trade ; Mr Grant Dull;, Under-Secretary for the Colonies; Mr Anthony Mundella, Vice-President of the Committee of the Council of Education ; Sir Henry James, AttorneyGeneral ; and Mr Henry Fawcett has accepted ollicc as Postmaster-General. The Hon. John Bright has been appointed Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, the ollice which he held in the last Gladstone administration.
The Samoan Scheme Rejected. Berlin, April 28. The German Parliament has rejected the Bill which was introduced for the purpose of granting a subsidy to the South Sea trading company which took over Goddefroy’s business at Samoa.
