[Pee “Times” Special TVike.! Sir William Fox on the Stamp. Bulls, April IG.—Sir William Fox addressed the electors at Bulls last night. He avowed himself a warm supporter of the present Ministry. He attacked the Liberal party, and said they followed the democracy of France, while the constitutional party, with which he was connected, followed the American democracy. Speaking of native affairs, he said there was no probability of another disturbance. On being asked if he would accept office if elected he said that he did not desire office and only under extreme circumstances would he accept it. A vote of thanks for his address and for coming forward as a candidate was moved. 30 voted in his favor and none against. About 150 were present. It is not yet known definitely whether McLean will come forward to contest the scat. Browned Sportsmen Turning: up. Wellixotox, April IG.—The body of pevoreaux, one of the men lost in Wairarapa Lake, was found yesterday. It is expected the others will be found to-day. The boat was found anchored by means of one of the party’s guns getting caught in a chain. The Calypso’s Insurances. Duxedix, April 10.—The following arc the insurances on the Calypso effected in the colony:—Standard, £3OOO ; Union, £3OOO : \ ictoria, £SOOO ; South British, £4OOO ; Colonial, £2000; National, £2000; Batavia, £5000; Marine, £10,000; I uited, £112; Globe, £2000; total, b'12,112. The cargo was valued at £37,000. The balance is insured in Kngland. Boss of money. IVxKDix, April IG.—At (he fire which destroyed Gormau’s Hotel, at Xirtleburn, £220 in money was lost.
