(By Telegraph.) Wanganui, April 15. The next steeplechase meeting is fixed for June 19th. The programme coni sists of a Handicap Steeplechase 175 sovs; 1 Maiden Steeplechase, 75 sovs ; Weight I'or Ago ; 50 sovs Steeplechase, and a Consolation of DO sovs. Nominations for Handicap close on May 15. It is proposed to give Freeman Jackson, the lion, secretary of the club, a testimonial in recognition of bis services in raising Wanganui to the front rank among the racing meetings of the colon}'.
