[By Telegraph.”] CHRISTCHURCH TRAINING NOTES. Christchurch, March 27. On the course this morning Mata and Sir Modred had a fast gallop once round. The gelding proved the better horse. Titania worked alone, and had a slow canter once round. She seems fretting very much. Luna had a good spin. Spencer went very well, and with York had a fast spin, the former leading and making the pace hot for York who overhauled her in coming into the straight and had the best of the finish. Murielle went at a good pace for a mile and a half, Templeton and do vomer went a fast spin, the former going well. Foul play had a flutter by himself to the three-quarter-mile post, where On Dit joined, and the pace was increased, Foul Play leading past the post by a dozen lengths. Marie Antoinnettc and Webb’s team also galloped, Virginia Water going excellent.
[riiOM ouil OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Notwithstanding Foul Play’s excellent gallop this morning, the bookmakers believed to be commissioned from the stable, are laying against the horse. With Grip scratched Betray'cr’s chance is improved. Templeton’s work this morning has given confidence.
