[Pub “Times” Special Wike.J Crime at Buuedin. Duxedix, March 19. —There arc fifteen cases for trial at the criminal sessions. Fires. A four-roomed cottage was burned down at North-east Valley yesterday. It was insured in the Standard for £l5O, and South British for £IOO. On the Peninsula two stacks of hay were destroyed. 'They were insured. Moa Flat Races. At the Moa Flat races, Atlantic won the principal events. Glasgow Bank Fund. Christchurch, March 19. His Worship the Mayor has received a report from the Central Belief Committee of the Glasgow Bank Fund, showing the total amount reported to Dec. 31, as £389,428, and the amount received by the general treasurer, £262,230. Trumpery Charge. At the Police Court to-day, a charge of larceny against a servant by a woman in the Temperance Hotel was dismissed. The prosecutor was cautioned by the Bench against giving evidence, which betrayed a feeling of spite against the accused.
