Going for “Punch.” Melbourne, March 18. — Mr David Symo, proprietor of the Melbourne “ Age,” has instituted an action against the proprietors of the Melbourne “ Punch ” for libel, the damages being laid at £SOOO. Frostbitten Speculators. A meeting has been held here, at which it was resolved to form a Company for the exportation of every description of food under the freezing process. An influential Committee has been formed. Fresh Meat for Cannibals. Sydney, March IS. —The steamer Chaudcrnagore has arrived here after landing a colonisation party at New Ireland. It is understood that two steamers, with a thousand adventurers, will follow shortly from Rome and Barcelona. The original prospectus of the expedition states that it is intended to appropriate North-Western Australia. Exhibition Awards. The following further Exhibition awards are announced : Biscuits— Griffiths, Wellington ; Grant, Thames; Eenton, Dunedin; all second prizes. Confectionary Griffiths, Wellington, first prize ; Walters, Auckland, second prize. Chicory—Trent Bros. Christchurch, first prize. Groats —Magill, Otago, first prize.
