[Eeutkr’s Agency.] A Journal in Disgrace. Sydney, Feb. 26. —The Judge to-day prohibited the further publication of evidence in the case of Shepherd v. Dibbs by the “ Evening News.” His Honor deprecated the action of the paper, which he said was demoralising the public with prurient details. Free, Secular and Compulsory. In the Legislative Assembly last night, the Government Education Bill passed its third reading ou a division by 42 to 6. Victorian liberals. Melbourne, Feb. 26. —A mass meeting of Liberals was held last night. Speeches were made by Mr R. T. Yale, Sir Biyan o’Louglilen,aud Mr Graham Berry. The proceedings were of an orderly character. A Voters’ Holiday. Saturday has been proclaimed a public holiday m Victoria.
