He bad a scuttle with the accused and went away, leaving his coat behind. On his return he missed his pocket book. The accused said he had taken the money and had given it up to Sergeant Carlyon. Had I lls in his purse when he awoke. Some evidence was taken corroborative of the above. Bobert Anderson, a farmer, said he gave the accused £4 on Monday last in notes, and one of the notes Avas torn. [Notes produced.] The accused Avas sentenced to three months Avith hard labor. unlawfully shooting. Thomas Dawber was charged, on remand, with unlawfully shooting. The prosecutor was still unable to appear, but some evidence was gone into. Mr Guinness said that he would sec the prosecutor in the Hospital, if possible to-morrow. (Left Sitting).
