TEMUKA— I THIS DAY. [Before F. Guinness, Esq., B.M.] DISORDERLY. James Bee, for being drunk and disorderly, was lined 10s and and costs, and for resisting the police, using obscene language, and destroying a pail - of uniform trousers A'alnc bos (id. be was lined £2 or one month’s imprisonment. The lines were paid. stealing Kaon tuk person. Samuel Kirkpatrick was charged with the above offence. James Hepburn stated that he came to Temuka on Monday last. He bad a cheque, and paid some money that he owed to his mates. After paying some accounts he had £4. He went to Linton’s store at Waitohi, and then proceeded to Connor’s. He bad a scuttle with the accused and went away, leaving his coat behind. On his return he missed his pocket book. The accused said he had taken the money and had given it up to Sergeant Carlyon. Had I lls in his purse when he awoke. Some evidence was taken corroborative of the above. Bobert Anderson, a farmer, said he gave the accused £4 on Monday last in notes, and one of the notes Avas torn. [Notes produced.] The accused Avas sentenced to three months Avith hard labor. unlawfully shooting. Thomas Dawber was charged, on remand, with unlawfully shooting. The prosecutor was still unable to appear, but some evidence was gone into. Mr Guinness said that he would sec the prosecutor in the Hospital, if possible to-morrow. (Left Sitting).
