[Ekuteu’s Agency.] A Family Conference. London, Feb. 19. —The Canadian Board of Trade having suggested that the English associated Chambers of Commerce should convene a conference on a sounder basis, the British-Colonial Zollveren Chambers arc arranging for a preliminary Confei’ence of Colonists resident in Britain, to decide whether they will hold a meeting of Colonial and Home delegates next jmar. Postal Difficulties. - Protests from Sydney and Wellington colonists delay the settlement of the postal question. Russian Conspirators. St. Pkteksuuhg, Eeb. 19. —It has been ascertained that the mine under the Winter Palace was fired - by a battery at the time the family, attended by servants, were actually entering the saloon. A number of the later were seriously injured. The affair has caused a great sensation, and a large number of arrests have taken place in consequence.
