[Eeuter’s Agency.] The Wool Sales. London, Feb. 17.—There has been a large attendance at the wool sales, with keen competiou. Cape wools preponderate. 22,000 bales were taken for Yorkshire and the Continent. Prices show an average advance of l-]d to 2d on scoured and greasy wools. Where Relief Should Come Trout. During to day’s sitting the House of Commons went into Committee on the Irish Distress Eelicf Bill. An Amendment was proposed that an advance should be made towards the lielief Fund from the Imperial Treasury, instead of from the Church Surplus. Opposed to divorce. Eome, Feb I(3.—The Pope has issued an encyclical letter declaring that the, law of divorce has an immoral effect. ]
