STEAM COLLIERS FOR TIMARU.
[TO THE EDITOR.] Sir, —In your columns of Saturday, Feb. 7, reference is made to the beneiits of steam water carriage for coal. There being now some hopes of Timaru slowly recovering from its land fever and mania which has so sorely tried both the banking and mercantile community, and, to crown all, as its breakwater promises to be a success, is it not desirable that something like a good cargo boat should be owned in the district? In such case the following particulars of class, price, and capabilities in connection with what I have lately had for sale may be interesting :
Should any of your readers desire further information in reference thereto, it will be readily furnished by JAS. T. PARTRIDGE. Church street, Timaru, Feb. 10, 1880.
