The Court then adjourned. TEMUKA—THIS DAY. [Before E. Guinness, Esq., E.M.] ORUNKKA'XKSS. Daniel Mouayan was fined 40s or 48 hours’ imprisonment. Thomas Anderson, 10s ; Thomas Morrison was fined 40s for being drunk, and a similar amount for resistingthe police.

INJURIES TO THE PERSON. Thomas Dawber, for shooting, was again remanded for seven days. VIOLENT RIDING. James Gain pleaded guilty and was fined 20s and costs. SLY-GROG SELLING. J. Liston, of Waitohi, was charged with the above, and the case was remanded for seven days. CIVIL OASES. BREACH OK THE EENCIXIi ACT. Hubert Baxter sued J. Nixon, of Waitohi Flat, for half expenses for fencing a quantity of trees that had been planted by plaintiff. Mr Hamersley for plaintiff, Mr Jameson for defendant. Plaintiff was nonsuited. Judgment by default was given in the following eases : Nicholas v. Jas. Beid, claim, £4 19s (id ; Church v. Lloyd, claim, £2l 19s 2d.
