A body of armed Magyars made an attack on the Wains of Caehar, Assam, pillaging the tea jilantations and killing and wounding several managers. The Afghan War. The latest news from Afghanistan states that hostilities are impending. Roberts has been revictuallcd and lias strengthened the lines of communication. It is reported that Mahomed Jan has died from his recent wound. The insurgents demand the reinstatement of Yakoobasonc of the conditions of peace. The British forces march, on Herat iii March. Convalescent. Salisbury is out of danger.
