HARBOR BOARD.

The annual meeting of the Timaru Harbor Board was held to-day.

Present—Messrs Archer (Chairman), Evans, Barker, Moody, and Beswick. An apology for non-attendance was received from Mr E. Acton. The Chairman stated that the annual statement of accounts had not been audited, and read a letter from the Provincial auditor in explanation, that gentleman being Tillable to attend for the purpose before the beginning of February.

It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Bcswick, that in consequence of the small attendance and the accounts not being audited, the statement of accounts be laid before the next ordinary meeting. The meeting then adjourned.
