CRICKET.
A cricket match was played on the Waimate Recreation grounds on Saturday afternoon, between fifteen of the Muffs and eleven of the Waimate County Cricket Club. Although the scouring was exceedingly low on both sides, yet the Club succeeded in putting their opponents through, in one innings, with four runs to spare. The scores were —Muffs 1(3 in each innings; Club 3G, with two men not out. Reeve, retired after scoring a carefully played innings for 9 runs.
