(I’kkss Agency.) The Wanganui Autumn Bace Meeting is fixed for the 11th and 12th March. The following is the programme : Exkst Day. Wanganui Derby, of 100 sows. Sapling Stakes, of 00 sovs, for two-year-olds; three-quarters of a mile. Wanganui Stakes, Handicap, of 100 sovs ; 2 miles, for three year-olds and upwards. Town Plate, of 30 sovs, welter
weights ; 1 mile and a distance. Flying Handi cap, of 75 sovs; 1 mile and a distance. Second Day. Handicap Hurdle, of 75 sovs; 2\miles. Railway Plate, 50 sovs, weight for age; a mile and a distance. Wanganui Cup, handicap, 1000 soys, second horse to receive 200 sovs, third horse 100 sovs from the stakes; 25miles. Maiden Plate, 50 sovs, weight for age; II miles. Handicap, 100 sovs; 2 miles. Consolation Stakes, of 30 sovs. Nominations for the Cup closes on Dec. 30 ; weights, Jan. 17 ; acceptances, Feb. 3. £SOO is to be spent in improving the Grand Stand.
