WANGANUI SPRING- MEETIJfG. [BY TELEGRAPH.] Wanganui, Not. 7. For the meeting to-day there was beautiful weather, and the attendance was good. The following are the results : —• Maiden Plate, of 50 soys. ; one and a half miles. Astronomer 1 Petruchio 3 Sandwich 3 Five started, including the imported horse Wilberforcc, from Melbourne. It was a very good race, Astronomer leading by a length, Petruchio securing second honors on the post by a head. Time —2 min. secs. Handicap Hurdles, of £SO. Two miles and a distance. G-roy Momus 1 Banshee 3 Mclvor rode G-rey Momus,“and made a grand race of it, but really won with plenty in hand. Hack Hurdles, of £lO, Pollio 1 Spring Boy 3 Wanganui Stakes, of £IOO, Two miles. Hailstorm 1 Flora Macdonald 2 Seven started for this event. The race was a good one. Timc--3 min. oQ-V secs.
