In the Sunday School assault case, the Magistrate stated that since the last hearing he had received letters from a rev. gentleman, intended to influence his decision. Brisbane, Nov. 6. Parliament has been further prorogued to the 13th Dec. Melbourne, Nov. 6. The Bank of Australasia at Moe was stuck up last night by two masked men. They were successfully resisted, but though fired at, succeeded in escaping to the bush. The two men were captured this morning, and found to be the sous of a selector. In the Assembly last night the Hon. Graham Berry stated that he desired a dissolution and an appeal to the country immediately after dealing with the reform measure now before Parliament. Arrived—Eingarooma, from New Zealand. Sailed —Arawata, yesterday, with the Sue* mail. The Government will undertake the permanent survey of the first hundred miles of the North Western Canal. Government have agreed to reserve one hundred square miles of country along the banks of the Murray to enable private companies to form a temperance agricultural settlement. Two brothers named Schanks, who tried to stick up the Bank of Australia at Moe, have been arrested at Tragada.
