• On Wednesday a 17-year-old man and a juvenile were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. This resulted from an incident the previous week
when a man was assaulted and had his jersey stolen in the Ohakune Hotel. • On Thursday a local man was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon when he was found
walking around with a knife during a domestic situation. • A Toyota Hilux, flat deck, was stolen from near the picture theatre in Goldfinch Street. This has now been located in Turangi and had been set on fire. • Four burglaries were reported last week. The first was a house in Mt View Road, Raetihi, where all the curtains were stolen. A house in Totara Road, Turoa Village, was burgled and assorted household items stolen. A workshop at Turoa was broken into some time over the past few months and a pair of ski boots stolen. Early Saturday morning the front window of Ohakune New World was smashed. The alarm was activated and nothing taken. • It was quiet on the roads with no crashes attended.
