Puppets captivate Raetihi pupils
Puppet theatre came to Raetihi Scnool recently, and a captivated audience was treated to fairy tales and make-believe nonsense, bringing lots of fun, laughter and wonder. Two shows were put on for the pupils from kaetihi and Orautoha schools. Puppeteers Anita and Hamish Hudson, from Auckland, are part of the David and Sally Poulton Theatre of Puppets company which is based in Sydney, Australia.
At the end of the show Mr and Mrs Hudson took time to explain how the puppets were made and how they work while still keeping things fun.
