Sunday 15 May: Another interesting day at the Waimarino Golf Course with matches played against Marton and another round for the Presidents trophy. Waimarino coming out the winners for the day. Good Scores overall with sen-
ior men: lst B Drinkwater, 39; 2nd G Lind, 38; 3rd D Windle and T Frederick, 37; Junior men: lstA Clarke, 40; 2nd M Mills, 39; 3rd P Cleary and G Irwin, 35. The best ladies scores for the day with 1 st Aroha Irwin, 44; 2nd N Winter, 39; 3rd L Drinkwater, 33. Sunday 25 May: Another great day, sponsored by Kunikraft and indeed most should have stayed home in the garden. But the weather inspired some in a par round. Senior Men: lst T Geraghty, 46; 2nd N Black and D Blackburn, + 1; Junior Men: lst with the game of his golfing career so far, J Mcllroy, +10, 2nd M Mills, +5; 3rd R Bielby, +4; 4th A Murdie, +2. Ladies: lst A Irwin once again on +4; 2nd S Lind, +1. Next week is the Rangiwaea Trophy mixed four ball best ball. All members tee off 1 2.30. This is a lot of fun and it would be good to see plenty of members, women and men. Women can play team stableford on Sunday or Wednesday. The club' s senior mens pennants team won over Manawatu at Manawatu.
