PROPOSAL TO CLOSE ROAD(S) TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC Purs'uant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1 965, notice is hereby given that the Ruapehu Djstrict Council, forthe purpose of the Wanganui Car Club holding special stages 4-6 of Round 3 of the Central Region Rally Championship, proposes to close the following road(s) to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period(s) indicated hereunderon Saturday 12 July 1997. Any person objecting to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of his/her objection and grounds thereof in writing before 1 3 June 1 997 at the office of the Council at Huia Street, Taumarunui or Miro Street, Ohakune. Roads proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic and periods of proposed closure: Special Stage 4 Wanganui River Road from RDC boundary to Pipiriki; and Pipiriki-Raetihi Road 7km towards Raetihi to 100 metres before the new seal; between the hours of 9:45am and 1.45pm. Special Stage 5 Turakina Valley Road (Rangiwaea Road) from SH 49 to RDC boundary; between the hours of 1 2.30pm and 3.45pm. Special Stage 6 Owhakura Road from Bells Junction to Whangaehu Valley Road; between the hours of 1 .00pm and 3.55pm. Alternate Road Oruakukuru Road, from the junction with SH 4 approximately 16 km to 500 metres before Pah Hill Station gateway; between the hours of 12.30pm and 3.45pm.
