Waimarino Smallbore
The Waimarino Smallbore Club's indoor season is well under way with excellent attendances on club night with good and improving scores being shot. Local shooters Ken Summerhays and Donna McGrath went to Levin on 1 1 April and shot trial cards for North Island Team selection. Ken came 2nd in the Master Grade with scores of 100.4, 100.4and 100.8 while Donna was lst in the A-Grade shooting 99.2, 100.4 and 99.6. On 25 April Ken Summerhays, Donna McGrath and Michael Maru were members of a Wanganui contingent who went to Masterton to shoot against a Waiarapa Team. Their scores in the t\yo-card, 20 shot competition were: Ken 199 and 195, Donna 197 and 1 92, and Michael 1 92 and 1 93 . Overall the W anganui team won the match. Donna and Ken also stayed on for the Masterton championships, held 26 Apri 1 where both had to shoot three cards of 1 0 shots. Their results were Donna, lst in the A Grade shooting 99.6, 100.5 and 97.4 and Ken coming 2nd in the Master Grade shooting 99.6, 1 00.4, 99.2. Club scores for 21 April were: K Summerhays 100.8, D McGrath 100.4, M Maru 96.2, S Fredericksen 89.0 92.1,- J Henderson 85.0, A Fredericksen 82.1, C Tasker 82.0, T Martin 79.0, D Nicholls 78.0. Club scores for 28 April were: J Scobie 94.2 100.6, W Cole 93.2 94.1, B Dennis 93.0 94.1, R MacLean 92.2 96.2, L Cranston 91.2 90.1 72, M Maru 9 1.1, J Henderson 90.3 88.1 89.2, P Billett 90.0, B Billett 87. 1 , S Fredericksen 87 .0, S Fredericksen 84. 1 , J Goddard , 75.0.
