Sport support

• I would like to thank all those people who supported our holiday programme. What a huge difference from the first one I ran in September (the first activity cancelled and nine on the other two activities!), this has been a huge success in comparison. But I would like to apologise for a couple of things.

Firstly, we did not give enough information out to the public which caused confusion in some cases. This will not happen again. Secondly , if support continues as it did these holidays, we will publicise maximum numbers and paid bookings will be essential. Both of these will help ensure the smoother running of the programme.

Thanks to all those parents and friends who helped with activities, transport and support. A special thanks to Powerco, Ruapehu Lions and the Waimarino Police for sponsoring the programme. I hope your children enjoyed the programme as' much as we enjoyed running it. (Not to say I wasn't pleased to see the end of the week - phew!)
