Fire warning for trampers

Trampers using primus stoves in huts are being urged to take care after two recent incidents in Egmont National Park. One person changing a canister inside Holly Hut while other stoves were being used didn't get it right and gas

ended up spraying everywhere. She suffered burns in the accident. Another incident in the same hut resulted in superficial damage to the wall of the hut. Signs explaining the right way to go about refuelling stoves have now been posted.
