Introducing Waiouru's DP

Waiouru's new deputy principal Marty Hantz describes himself as an outdoors kind of guy, into anything from mountaineering and skiing to fishing and kayaking. He is a keen sportsman who enjoys cricket and rugby and he said his six weeks at Waiouru Primary School have been great so far. "I love it, the people are really friendly," he said. Also a rugby referee, Mr Hantz has already headed a number of games is looking forward to coaching. Mr Hantz has been teaching for nine years and chose to move to Waiouru with his partner after serving as DP at Longburn Primary School, near Palmerston North.
