Ben Hammond learns what it's like to be blind when you're choosing your veges at a special puppet show at Ohakune Primary School last Friday. Puppets helped Waimarino kinds learn what it's like to have a disabllity. The show, "Kids up the road", was put on by puppeteer Judy van Beek and Jenny Mills from the Wellington CCS (Crippled Children Society), to help make children aware of the differences, and similarities, they have to children with disabilities. They also put on shows at Walouru Primary School. The puppet programme plays nationawide and caters for children aged 5. 13, A pre-school programme is also available.
