Last Transport march

The Royal New Zealand Corps of Transport will exercise its right under the Charter granted by the Ruapehu District Council to parade through Taumarunui for the last time Friday next week, 4 October. The RNZCT is disbanding in December. The mayor, Weston Kirton, will receive the guard at an official ceremony to be held outside the Memorial Hall starting at 9.30am. The Corps will be playing rugby from 5.30pm and netball from 6.00pm.
