1 he results in the North/ South direction at Bridge on Wednesday were fairly predictable with the top three places taken by the more established teams. Ron Frew and Brian Eades took first with 59.74% (69.17) and in second with 49.03% (57.08) were Ron Martin and Heather Cranston. Third place went to John and Sandra Eades with a score of 48.46%
(54.58). The results in the East/ West direction weren't so cut and dried however with relative new-comers Rose Martin and Brian Mason sticking it to the more seasoned teams. Brian and Rose won with 64.25% (56.25) and Doug and Tephany Bennett were promoted to second with 58.05% (55) which meant the winners on the night, Pauline Le Noel and Bob
Tumataroa, were relegated to third finishing with a final score of 53.36% (60.42).
