Queen's representative visits Waiouru

The Governor'General Sir Michael Hardie Boys is welcomed by the New Zealand Army's Chief oi General Staff Major-General Piers Reid at the Army Marae in Waiouru last Wednesday. Sir Michael was met by a 100-man royal guard ofhonour, reserved for royalty and their representatives. He was briefed on the activities of the Army Training Group, visited the Army Marae, and was taken out into the field to try his hand at live artillery firing.
