Furner new NP councillors

Warren Furner is the new National Park councillor on the Ruapehu District Council, elected on the weekend, subject to the official count and special votes, while Donald Kenneth Stuart is provisionally elected for the Ohura Ward. Mr Furner was provisionally elected with 99 votes out of 347 cast. Next highest polling in National Park was Rachel June Steel on 94, then Ken Malcolm on 77 and June Baker on 75.
