Busy day for Raetihi market
It was another busy morning at the new Raetihi market Tuesday last week, with a good turn-out of people shopping for bargains — "bits and pieces, buttons and bows". Although there weren't the numbers of stall holders compared to the first market day, those who were had quite a variety of crafts and gifts on display. Once again stall holders were from Ohakune, Waiouru and Raetihi. Many people said it was great to see communities getting together and supporting each other this way, when times are a little slow. Organisers are intending to continue to hold the market day, at the old BNZ building in Seddon Street, on a regular basis.
