Seniors fight well

Ruapehu Seniors played Ratana in Wanganui last week and in spite of their loss, Ruapehu had the best game of the season so far, according to Rex Oliver, assistant manager for Ruapehu. Ratana were up 13-5 at half time with two, tries and a penalty and Ruapehu' s points came from a try. With more commitment and good support, Ruapehu went on attack opening up

the run of play. Putting points on the board for Ruapehu Howard (Fonzie) Gordon, one try and one conversion, Brendon Kavanagh, one try with Kimiana Rapana converting and L Callaghan a try. Ruapehu went into the lead in the 25th minute of the game with Ratana coming back only in the last 10 minutes of the game. Ruapehu has a home game this coming week with practice on Thursday nights at 6.00 pm at Ohakune.
