Vietnam feature of Army museum display

Vietnam - The war experience 30 years on ... will be hosted by the Queen Elizabeth II Army Memorial Museum in Waiouru from 29 June. The exhibition, sponsored by Trustbank Central, was constructed and displayed at the Science Centre & Manawatu Museum and ran successfully

for six months. "It was very popular when we ran it here," administration officer Paul Smith said. With a combination of historical background, real life stories, CD-Rom technology and television footage, the exhibition explores Vietnamese

history, the politics of New Zealand' s involvement in the war and current relationships with Vietnam. The central focus of the exhibition is on those people who experienced the war first hand, and is an expression of people' s ideas, values, lives and experiences.
