Merrilyn George, assistant principal at Ruapehu College, has been appo-inted to the New Zealand executive of home economics teachers (HETANZ). Her appointment was made by Maori home economics teachers. This follows work Mrs George has been doing for the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) as a member of advisory groups in technology, and fabric and foods
