In the recent Outdoor Bowls tournament between Wanganui and Taranaki, Merrilyn George played singles for Wanganui winning all three games with the following scores: 21/11 against Marie Cleland; 21/ 9 against Natalie Hunt; 21/ 14 against Jenny Stewart. In the inaugural Wanganui Open Singles last week she was beaten in the quarterfinals by Dot Bellis 23/20.
