Hefty haul of medals for swimmers
Waiouru swimmers came home from the recent Wanganui Centre District Age-Group Championships with a hefty haul of medals and finalist ribbons. The team won seven gold, 12 silver and five bronze medals as well as 18 finalist ribbons.
"For a lot here it is their first year of competition swimming," carnival co-ordinator and coach Spud White said. "They ' ve put a lot of work into it.I'm really pleased" Waiouru is hosting the Country Club Championships on 24 February.
