•Ohakune Police were called to theA&P Showgrounds, Parapara Highway, Raetih, on Saturday 1 7 February, after a complaint of disorderly behaviour was received from a Show Official. Police were unable to locate the offender. •Police attended an assault on a Raetihi man at aRanfurly Terrace address during the early hours of Saturday morning. Enquiries into the incident are continuing. •A quantity of firewood was stolen from a Ward Street, Raetihi address ovemight on 12 February 1996. Police enquiries are continuing.
•Waiouru Police are investigating the theft of a Rancher lawn mover and a can containing petrol from a Ballance Rd, Waiouru, address some time between 10 February and 18 February 1996. Offenders forced entry into a locked garage to remove the property.
WAIOURU
• Two youths were apprehended and reported to Youth Aid Section for theft of a cricket bat and ball from the Waiouru cricket club on 4 February. • On 6 February a 19-year old male was arrested for assault on a female. He is due to appear in court on 26 February. • Waiouru police are investigating a dog bite complaint
and remind the public to look after their dogs because a court can order pet destruction. • A burglary from a rural Irirangi property where petrol was taken from a shed is being investigated. • A pair of knee-length East German officer boots have gone missing from a house in Brooke Street.
