Revaluations this year

The three-yearly revaluation of Ruapehu District will commence in late February, reports Mr Johannsen. Valuers will start in the rural Waimarino area and work northwards. Indications at this stage are of a 40 - 60 per cent increase in capital values in farms in the Waimarino district and 25 to 40 per cent increase in capital values in Taumarunui district farmland. The township areas will be inspected later in the year. He said Valuation New Zealand staff will call on property owners and will have displayed identification badges. The valuations will be released at the end of this year.
