Remarkable reunion
• It is to Jim Shanks, his committee and their many helpers that thanks and congratulations must be given for the organisation and success of the Ohakune Primary and District High School Centennial Jubilee. From the many guests who travelled from Canada, USA, Manila, Australia and from all over New Zealand, I heard nothing but praise and how great it was to be 'home' . Now that it is over I find I have little information about the many that I met. I learnt perhaps the town they now live in but little else. All we talked about was 'then' ; not now. Of all the name tags I read, of the girls the married name meant little, but the maiden name e verything. After meeting so many of my Primer One class I found it pleasant to hug so many grandmothers. Thanks Jim. When do we do it again?
