SITUATIONS VACANT Whakapapa THE MAGIC MOUNTAIN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER •Central North Island Location •Ski Industry Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Ltd are operators of Whakapapa Ski Area located on the northern slopes of Mount Ruapehu. As this is a seasonal operation staff levels peak at about 400 during winter, lowering to about 25 in the summer. This alone makes the role of Human Resource Manager very challenging. All company activities operate out of offices located at the base of the Ski Area. The Company's management style places a major emphasis on customer service and personnel development. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing the company's human resource function. They will be a key member of the management team, reporting direct to the General Manager. Preferred candidates should posses practical experience in this field and have the relevant qualifications. Candidates must be able to communicate will in a team situation and possess strong interpersonal skills. Employment will be for a 9 month period between February and November in each calendar year. Winstone Pulp International is a Forestry based company. Principal activities are Forestry operations, Pulp production, Sawmilling and solid wood processing. The pulpmill located on the Southern side of Mt Ruapehu is a continuous process exporting product throughout Asia. We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Superintendent at the Pulp Mill site. The successful applicant will preferably have a background in Pulp and Paper and possess a tertiary qualification in Chemical or Process Engineering. Good communication and computer skills will be a basic requirement. Responsibilities and functions of the position will be, • Overseeing a laboratory operation • Technical and Q. C. support. • Supporting the operation of the Pulp Bleaching and Effluent Treatment plants. • Process and machine performance trailing, • Ensuring accurate pulp and process data recording and retrieval.
