Street name challenged

The developer of Ohakune' s newest street, off Goldfinch Street opposite Wye Street, has asked to make submission to the W aimarino Community Board about the naming of the street. The board earlier decided the street would be called Wye Street. The developer, Clyde Scott, has told the council the name was chosen with little information provided to the board and that he was not given the opportunity to speak to the board. It was suggested to the board that the street be named Scott-Barton Place.
