Farm army tour
About 100 farmers are expected to tour the Army Training Group training area in Waiouru this coming Thursday. Bill Fleury of the Department of Conservation will speak about the Kaimanawa wild horse issue and protected natural areas, while John Mangos will speak of army perspectives and land management. Local historian Tony Batley will also address the group that will meet at the Waioum Primary School at 9am. People interested in joining the tour can contact Graham Joyce at the Taihape Veterinary Clinic as soon as possible. The tour is expected to finish around 3pm.
