• Ohakune Police would like to remind the rural community that from this time of the year onwards, cannabis cultivators are planting out their seedlings. • There have also been numerous wool thefts and 4wheel bikes stolen from within the Wanganui district recently. Police would like to hear of any suspicious vehicles travelling or parked in the mral areas. Information or sightings can be directed to Detective Constable Mike Hill, at the Ohakune Police Station, Phone 385855 1 , or to any member of Police. • Ohakune Police attended a fight that occurred at the Ohakune Hotel on 2 November 1995. The fight that occurred between two groups was resolved by the on-duty Police constable and hotel staff. Those involved were wamed for fighting in a public place. • Police are investigating the theft of property from the rear of a ute parked outside the Powderhom Inn, in Mangawhero Terrace, Ohakune, on 29 October. Offenders removed abag containing a snowboard, ski jacket and trousers, together valued at over $3,000 from beneath the vehicle's canopy. The theft has prompted Poiice once again to remind vehicle owners to secure property in locked vehicles when left unattended. • Police attended an incident involving one vehicle that occurred in Railway Row, Ohakune, on 26 Ohakune. The vehicle that was being driven by an Ohakune resident came to rest beside a power pole. No injury or damage to property resulted.
